Saab’s leadership has decided to apply to the district court of Vanersborg for bankruptcy. But only recently there were hopes that Saab will be able to get on its feet – this could happen with the participation of Chinese investors, or more precisely, Zhejiang Youngman. However, the former owner of Saab – Concern General Motors, – which has veto power over such deals, said the Chinese auto industry will not be able to gain access to technologies Saab. As a result of the deal to sell Saab was actually broken.
Under these conditions, the current leadership of Saab was forced to admit defeat. So it is possible that soon Saab may receive external manager, who will assess the company’s prospects for recovery. If these prospects are not found Saab will be simply eliminated, and the company will sell the property at auction.
Let us recall that Saab now belongs to the Dutch company Spyker, who previously made supercars. However, the management of Spyker could not find enough resources to invest in Saab, many suppliers have refused to supply the conveyor Saab parts because of the debt, and the car manufacturing stopped.
