BMW of the 1 Series of the new generation so far exists only as a five – door hatchback. And the most powerful engine offered for it is the 258 – strong atmospheric row “Six” of the modification 130i. But now really “charged” “unity” can be bought as well – three-door concept M135i will soon make its debut in Geneva, it is with a turbo charged three – liter engine.
It is true the word concept can be forgotten as soon as the reading – the car is standing on the conveyor with three wheels. In addition to the “serious” aggregate, M135i is remarkable because this is the first appearance of the new “unity” in the form of the three – door hatchback. The serial “hot” version there will appear closer to the end of the year and will compete, for example, with Audi RS3.
For this purpose the hatch will be provided with the appropriate capacity andwith the all – wheel drive. Under the hood of the model of M135i will be located a row “Six” with a turbo charging which will be applied for the model 1 M Coupe and will produce 340 horsepower. Most likely, the engine of the new hatchback will be reduced for 15 – 20 “horses”. In such a way, the Bavarian company will provide a foundation for the release of a full – fledged hardcore of the model based on the first series.
Anything is not known yet about the transmission, but the drive will be offered both as a background, and as a complete. It is true, the all – wheel drive cars will not be available in the markets with the left – hand road traffic – such kind of the arrangement is not compatible with the right hand drive. Other upgrades include a sport suspension, larger brakes, 18 – inch wheels and, of course, a full body kit: a front bumper, side skirts, a rear bumper with a diffuser and twin tailpipes exhaust system, a spoiler of the third door and side stickers in the “M – colors. “
