Apparently, the first real photos of the new generation of Audi A3 have appeared in the network. It was published by the Czech edition Autoforum.cz. The image with a high degree of probability corresponds to the reality, as the shapes were similar with the “three-ruble bills” and “accidentally” illuminated in January on the display of the MMI system during the official presentation of the interior of A3.
A revolution in the design, as expected, did not happen. Similar to the previous, the silhouette of the body is combined with the new corporate “face”, which consists of a hexagonal radiator grille and a serious view of the head optics. Audi A3 will become the first model of the Volkswagen concern, built on a modular platform MQB. There is also some information on the engine line - at the start of its release it will have most likely petrol engines 1.4 TFSI with the capacity of 122 or 140 forces, 1.8 TFSI with the capacity of 180 strength and 140 – hp turbo diesel. The gear box is mechanical and robotic. The all – wheel drive will be available. Officially, the three – door Audi A3 will be declassified at the Geneva Motor Show in the early March, and later there will appear also the five – door version Sportback. It also became known that within the next eighteen months a serial charged modification A1 will appear which will be called S1. This model will receive a boosted two – liter turbo engine and a number of other units of the limited 333 copies of the crazy A1 quattro. What for are these games with the boosting? Perhaps in order to make a niche for the potential “unity” with the cherished prefix RS.
