The Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has decided not to dwell on the massive low – cost sedans and still demonstrates the desire for the beauty. The company has released the first photos of its new concept of i-oniq, which debuts at the Geneva Auto Show.


The concept of i-oniq is an electric sports hatchback with an optional gasoline engine. It is assumed that the car shows the latest vision of the designers and the engineers of the brand about the future of the car industry – corporate identity the “flowing lines” and a power plant under the name of “New”.
The length of the car – 4.4 m in spite of the fact that the i-oniq still has the status of the concept, the salon of the car is already prepared for the placement of four adults comfortably and all the controls are oriented toward the driver.  According to the company, the car is equipped with a high – tech equipment of the premium class. So the budget hatchback is not to be expected, if I-oniq comes to the production.
Not less comfort is provided for the rear seat passengers, which should enjoy relaxing salon. The interior of the car was “painted” inspired by the musical instruments. Such a decision should be contrasted with the sporty appearance of i-oniq.
The car is equipped with a 1 – liter 3 – cylinder gasoline engine that is combined with an electric engine which develops 109 hp. In this case the ICE will serve as a means of charging the generator which is powered by an electric engine. The car drives 120 km on one charge. When connected to a working gasoline engine the run increases up to 700 km.
