On Tuesday, March 6 in Geneva is held the world premiere of the new Lexus RX 450h. The biggest change in the model is the design. Among other new concept cars the crossover has received the exterior from the new GS. In addition, the model will get a number of new options and a sports package of F Sport.
“RX 450h is being a key model of the Lexus Corporation, it plays an important role in the development of the brand in the long term” – the producer notes.
Earlier in the network leaked the photos of the restyling Lexus RX, scanned for the forthcoming home market of Japan advertising brochures. According to these, as well as the first official images, we can come to a conclusion that the crossover will try to recover its restyling original radiator grille. In addition, the changes will affect the head optics, bumpers – front and rear, as well as the design of the alloy wheels. The interior of the crossover will receive an extended range of the materials, a new steering wheel and a more modern media system for the passengers of the rear seats.
The range of the power units will not be exposed to changes – in Europe will continue to be offered and the modifications of the R350 R450h, and in Japan – also R270. However, each one of them will be available in the version of F Sport: tested on the sedan the GS technology will be transferred to the standard crossovers, this is planed and will be done by the manufacturers. Also at the Geneva Auto Show will be the European premiere of the concept LF – LC and the new GS 450 h and GS 450 h F Sport.
